Summer
2008 sees Disco Inferno 3 in the Mediterranean for the whole season but there
are a few events that we just couldn't miss, Cork Week & Cowes Week, so
we've linked up with another boat so you can get out on the water. The
experience will be the same as the Disco "a race experience", with
you playing a vital part in the team.

CORK
WEEK - Crosshaven, Cork, Ireland - 12th to 18th July 2008
Widely
acclaimed as the the best regatta in the World (by those who haven't been to
Antigua yet!). Cork Week is huge, it's only every two years so people make a
special effort to cross the Irish Sea in search of fair winds, tideless courses
and the famous black stuff by the gallon in the evenings.
The
Royal Cork YC turns it's car park into the biggest tent city ever, with numerous
bands and bars for everyone, its a real sight and only for the fit and healthy,
as that much dancing can cause heart problems in the couch potato!
Cork
Week 2006 was very popular and the event itself delivered an event which made
you understand why everyone was so desperate to get there. On the Disco calendar
that year it was the best regatta and that's coming from us sun lovers!
The
Race Committee is of the highest standards, the courses are square and fair
and the wind (almost) always co-operates and puts on a show resulting in some
of the best racing of the season. Cork does attract hugh numbers and boats from
all over the World.
To
be a part of this ultimate team book early we don't expect places to be available
long!!
Racing
starts on Monday and it's everyday on the water with Friday being the last day.
Fly over on Saturday and we can get out on the water to practise on Sunday.

REGATTA
2
COWES
WEEK - Cowes, Isle of Wight - 2nd to 9th August 2008
The
biggest regatta in the world with over 1000 boats and 8 days of challenging
Solent racing, unmistakably the best regatta in England... Skandia Cowes Week
is huge, it's a must every year. Experience some of the finest Solent racing,
starts from the Royal Yacht Squadron Line, Pimms in the Yacht Clubs after racing,
and plenty of it! Summer is just NOT complete until Cowes Week has been done,
come rain or shine.
For
2008 we are offering the WHOLE of Cowes Week to individuals and groups, make
this Cowes Week one not to miss. Imagine blasting along under kite just yards
from Cowes Green and the crowds of spectators!
The parties are, of course, a blur from the black tie ball at the Royal Corinthian
on the Tuesday, apres sail Pimms in the Island SC, Mount Gay rum at their Party,
cheap tasting expensive lager in the marina beer tent with endless tribute bands
to dance the night away to and of course the famous Cowes Week fireworks on
the Friday night.
This is a complete package, all you need to do is turn up on Friday 1st for
a welcome pint in the Pier View, with a bag full of sailing kit and hangover
cures.
Oh
yes, this year Cowes is going to be HUGE.

Skipper/Hostess
Expenses -
Your Skipper and 1st Mate/Hostess work hard to make your holiday on board a
success whether it be a fun regatta or Caribbean cruise right through to the
ARC. The skipper is constantly on alert day and night to ensure the safety of
the yacht and the crew aboard and the Hostess ensures that the boat is always
in top condition and puts together the very important crew social programme.
As you will see from your programme your holiday includes some time ashore to
sample local restaurants and bars. Of course you may be looking for a quiet
night away from the rest of the group which is perfectly acceptable. However
if you do decide to venture out as a group and would like your skipper and hostess
to join you, please remember that what is your holiday is their job, they aren't
on holiday and wouldn't normally dine out every night. If you would like to
show your appreciation for all their hard work in making your holiday a success
by asking them to join you for a night out then please be kind enough to pay
for their food and drinks, this can come from your crew kitty or be split amongst
the guests at the table. Thanks, it really is appreciated.
