So where did the name Disco Inferno come from? Well here is the full story. It was back in the mid nineties, Matt and his mate, Nick FB, were hanging out one Saturday night at a London bar called "The Trammps", Matt & Nick had sailed together at Uni for a couple of years, as had their mate Dave, he would have been there that Saturday Night but he had a Fever. They had just started getting into Sunsail regattas and doing rather well at them , they needed a "Team" name and were discussing it over a few rum and cokes when suddenly the fire alarm went off. They rushed to the doors but they were blocked, "Oh no! How do we get out?" They looked out the window and to their surprise the building was 100 stories high, the smoke and flames were out of control, people were getting loose and then someone yelled, "Get down!" "We can't, the stairs are blocked!" so then they yelled "Get down on the roof!" We headed for the roof, smoke everywhere, up above our heads we heard music, people screaming "Burn Baby Burn", "Burn that Mother Down" what could be going on on the roof. We got there, (100stories remember) we made it, satisfaction came in a chain reaction, we couldn't get enough, we were going to self destruct, the heat was on, rising to the top, that is where the spark got hot. Yeah Baby, Burnin, Burnin, I just can stop when my spark gets hot, don't you rescue me, say ow, hear the spirit say ow... Disco Inferno, come on get on the floor........... The alarm wasn't a fire, it was a roof party and they were playing Disco Inferno. And that my friends is where we decided to become Team Disco Inferno.

Well not quite but it makes a good story!
